Our Story

Redrock Baptist Church was founded on May 6, 1956, when six charter members gathered with a vision to establish a Bible-believing, gospel-preaching church in the growing city of Las Vegas. Originally organized as Charleston Heights Southern Baptist Church, the congregation officially became Redrock Baptist Church just a few months later.

Under the leadership of our founding pastor, Rev. Wayne White, the church quickly grew from meeting in a rented home to purchasing property on Alta Drive, where our church campus still stands today. Through the faithful service and sacrificial giving of its members, the first sanctuary was completed debt-free in 1959, with additional buildings added as the ministry continued to expand.

Throughout the decades, Redrock Baptist Church has been blessed by faithful pastors and members who have remained committed to the authority of God's Word, the proclamation of the gospel, and the making of disciples. God has also used Redrock to help plant and strengthen churches throughout Nevada and beyond.

Today, more than sixty years after its founding, Redrock Baptist Church continues its mission of glorifying God by worshiping Him, growing together in His Word, serving one another, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with our community and the world. We are grateful for God's faithfulness in our past and look forward with confidence to what He will continue to do in the years ahead.
